Mark is a former real estate developer with experience in residential, hospitality, and mixed-use investments. He discovered his calling building homes when he and his wife and business partner, Mollie built a floating home together on Lake Union in 1999. Since then, Mark has led teams of architects, engineers, and contractors to create hundreds of new homes in King, Pierce, Snohomish, and Chelan counties.

Now together at Windermere, Mollie and Mark provide a comprehensive suite of property investment services, helping people find land, homes, or financial independence through real estate investing and development. From small tasks to big projects, Mark loves supporting clients with all facets of real estate.

Mark has a passion for improving the built environment; his diverse interests include saving historic buildings, preserving affordable housing, sustainable building, and equitable new development. He brings more than 20 years of experience applying green building rating systems to help his clients minimize their carbon footprint and leave a positive environmental legacy. Mark and Mollie helped pioneer the development of accessory dwelling units (ADUs) in the early 2000s and have now built, rented, or sold dozens of them in neighborhoods across Seattle and Kirkland. Further afield, Mark led affordable housing development for non-profit and government clients across Washington state.

Originally from Southern California, Mark got his mechanical engineering degree from UCLA and, while on a cycling trip during college, realized that the Pacific Northwest was his true home. He relocated here 30 years ago and never looked back. While enrolled at University of Washington for joint master’s degrees in business and construction management, he met Mollie and they discovered a shared love of the mountains, water, and travel. When not serving his clients or cooking with his family, you might find Mark skiing, surfing, hiking, or trail running.
